The Stadium Light Committee claim there would be just five - seven games a year. What they stated at the Board meeting was quite different -- stadium lights would be used for soccer, lacrosse, CIF
playoffs, and special occasions. When they say "special occasions," what did they have in mind? It doesn't take a lot of
imagination to realize what’s down the road for our community if the lights go
in.
In June, the FNL and Pen Hi made their Board presentation. Here's the script of their presentation to Board Members. It's clear that the Board and School knew that Friday night lights would transition into various events throughout the year. The athletic director spoke of "multiple elements", "a large number of law enforcement" and violence. Is that what's in store for our community?
